We have ELECTRIC!

Hubby got the power to the building so all the lights and outlets now work! Then he took a break and gave the electric a test drive with his guitar. Is it just me or does his corner seem to be growing? We have some acrylic shelves up on the wall. You can see organizers by the windows just waiting to be filled. That will happen in a blink once we have the ceiling fan in, I just don't want the drywall dust getting on everything. Don't worry there will be lots of pictures once we start moving stuff in the building to keep everyone updated on the progress. Until then enjoy this wonderful Summer!

There will be lights!!

We have the building painted, the lights are in and the outlets are too! We decided to have the garage and Stamper's Paradise on their own meter, line, ELECTRIC. That just seemed like the easiest way to go. The new goal is to have the building complete with all stamps and supplies organized before fall. Hubby's corner is finished as you can see. I put a couple pictures up to give us an ocean view while we (HE) work.
July has been very busy due to the re-opening of the Muddy 13. We will have 2 more events this year, 2010. Muddy 13 Raceway will have mud bogs on September 4 then on the following day we will have a Battle of the Bands with reduced prices if you attend both. Each event also has their own sites that you can visit. I am just too tired to do links right now.
Hope to see everyone soon ~ Hartford Shoebox swap is in August and the Curds will be road tripping again this October!!!! Inky Hugs! Mel

Pictures of Progress!

Electric is Next!

We have the inside painted. I love the Sparklie ceiling!!! Now once the electric is hooked up and the lights are in we can start moving the STAMPS and supplies in! The plan right now is to have a library type set up but the stamp sets will have to be used here. This includes a very extensive collection of Stamping Up, House Mouse and Gina K Designs just to name a few. You can use my stamps, ink pads and tools for FREE but consumables such as paper, embellishments and such will require a small fee. This will be used to maintain Stamper's Paradise. There will be a donation box if you would like to pay $5 or so for use of the space and this money will help pay for the building, electric and continued expansion of stamp sets available. This is all NON-PROFIT. I just love to stamp and can't see spending $50 on a Hard To Find stamp set that your only going to use for one project. There will also be CLASSES and help on hand for all stampers. We have also started planning the Grand Opening! The date is not set yet but some of the PRIZES have already been set aside. More updates as progress continues!!!

The building!

Stamper's Paradise is moving along fast! The concrete is poured, walls insulated and drywall up. I have a color pallet picked out. A Caribbean beach feel, the floor most likely will match the sand we have out here so the tracks are less noticeable. The accents are Stampin' Up blue because I have a bunch of those tins and they are great for storage. The other color is a prettier blue that complements the tins but is softer. Then you have the basics black, white and silver. AJ has even claimed a corner to practice guitar. Just the thought of getting my stuff organized gets me giddy! We have been looking at ceiling fans, lights... everything. What fun, I even found that the less expensive fan was the one I liked best. The idea is do it right the first time, then you don't have to do it again. More pictures will be posted soon to show all the progress.

Exciting News

This is where everyone can follow the progress of what is soon to be my Favorite Place to Be!!! We are going to have a building to house all of my stamping stuff organized, ready to use and I plan to share! All you will need to do is let me know when, so I can see if I'll be here (no doctor apts) then bring paper and adhesive. You can use my stamp sets and ink. I can show you how to use many different stamping tools and usually have a stash of current coupons to share. Some of the details are still being worked out this promises to be a Creative Wonderland of fun.

I hope to have a HUGE grand opening PARTY!!! Keep everyone updated with this blog and even have some occasional Blog Candy to make things more fun for you lucky stampers. Right now I am really new to the blog scene so this will be nothing grand, but please be patient, it can only get better.
